DEVELOPING JAVA APPLICATIONS FOR MOBILE DEVICES

Mobile devices are relatively new entrants in IT arena. Due to their mobility, compactness, ease of handling, and relatively less power consumption; the focus of IT applications is rapidly shifting from traditional PC-based web-applications to mobile-based web applications. Java 2 Micro Edition (J2ME) combines a resource-constrained JVM and a set of Java APIs for developing applications for mobile devices. Therefore, Java-based mobile applications have undergone tremendous growth, in the recent past. Development and use of Java based mobile applications have tremendous potential in insurance business. It is in this context; this training programme has been planned.
