After undergoing this workshop the participants will be able to:

 To explain the different stages in building the House of Quality for product design.
 To increase reliability of product by defining the need, technically and limiting it between Six Sigma Specifications.
 To prioritize the functions of product with respective to the effect and occurrence of failures using the FMEA tool.
 To select the best combination of the design factors which enhances the performance of the product achieving the best quality with minimum loss.
 To Transfer from DFSS to Process Management/DMAIC.

Ganesh Iyer is a graduate in Chemical Engineering from Bombay University. He brings with him over 10 years of experience in the IT industry working for companies like Tata Infotech, Infosys and Bearing Point in the US. Ganesh is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Six Sigma Black Belt from American Society for Quality, and a certified Lead Auditor for Information Security Management System (ISMS). He has led a number of Change Management initiatives for clients across Asia Pacific and has trained more than 500 Lean Six Sigma Belts worldwide and coached over 300.

Course programme

DFSS aims to develop or redesign the product to eliminate manufacturing/process errors and engineers systems to avoid problems at the outset. This replaces the try ,test,modify approach and provides a first time right product that has no errors & also requires less after market services. The main focus being streamlining the production and business processes to eliminate mistakes ,improve morale and save money.
