The course of pathology came into existence in year 1964 headed by Prof. I.K. Somani .The classes for undergraduates students were held in Ayurvedic college building & laboratory facilities were started in D K Hospital. Subsequently in 30th September 1976 the department was shifted to the new college building.
The department undertakes laboratory investigations of the out door as well as indoor patients of Dr. B R Ambedkar Hospital, Raipur along with running a well equipped Model Blood Bank.
