Magneto therapy is a system of treating patients with the use of magnets. This treatment is popular in countries such as France. Germany, Japan, Russia, U.S.A. & India.

A magnet has many healing properties. It not only attracts iron but also attracts all martial humors that are in the human system of blood; phlegm, black bile and yellow bile, of which the body in ancient medicine was thought to be composed. The magnet is useful in internal and external diseases.

Creatures like homing pigeons, butterflies, and bees use earths magnetic field to navigate their direction. Also in medical field , scientists are using Magnetoencephalograph and magnetocardiogram to measure brain and heart's magnetic fields.

Magnetotherapy is very effective in drawing out pain and relieving stiffness as when the body comes into contact with magnets the magnetic waves pass through the tissues and induce secondary currents which produce impacting heats thus reducing pains and swellings. It also revives and promotes the growth of cells and increases the number of healthy red blood corpuscles.

The use of cold baths or meals are restricted after magnetic treatment.
