Diploma of Proficiency Interpretership in TibetanPanjab University
The Department of Chinese and Tibetan Languages was established under the name of Central Asian Studies in early 60's (in 1964) with the aim to assist the ongoing researches in the areas of Central Asia and create support of the two major languages spoken in those regions i.e. Tibetan and Chinese. Other languages were to be introduced later. The objective was to create and promote an enhanced awareness of the culture, civilization, language/s of Tibet and China.
