Other allied subjects which are important and are associated with this department are Dispensing Microbiology, Hospital Pharmacy and cosmeticology.
The department has 4 UG Laboratories. The UG Labs include pharmaceutics-I, pharmaceutics-II, Microbiology and physical pharmacy labs.
The labs have certain GMP standards implemented including concealed sewage lines, sunken basins, tiled table tops.
Lab has sterile area with wash and change areas, air locks, HEPA filters and well designed service lines.
The machine room is equipped with machines to deal with dosage development.
Pharmacology is one of the important subjects which deals with detailed study of drugs particularly their action on living being.
The staff teaches subjects like Anatomy and pathophysiology, topics like pharmacokinetics, Toxcology, clinical pharmacy etc.
The UG labs have all faculties and equipped with all instruments needed for the course designed particals.Process Development :
- Modification of synthetic routes for APIs and Drug intermediates.
- Design of novel synthetic routes and impurities profile for APIs and Drug intermediates.
- Troubleshooting and resolving the problems associated with the process.
- Technology transfer after process development
- Isolation, purification and characterization of Phytoconstituents.
Further, In Vitro evaluation for various activities (e.g. Anti - tuberculosis, Anti cancer, Anti microbial etc.)
