The Vidyapeeth was conferred a 'Deemed to be University' status in 1987 and at that time, in due consideration of its previous work, U.G.C. provided a separate grant for the reinstitution of the faculty of Ayurveda. The initiation of the 'Triskandha-Kosha project' was brought about through this grant, as a part of development.
