The ECE Association SPACE (Sivanthi Prolific Association of Communication Engineers) has organized so many events during the academic year 2008 - 2009 such as Technical quiz, Paper presentation, Aptitude test and fun quiz. These types of competitions encouraged the students to bring out their hidden talents. The guest lectures given for invited experts help the students and faculty to gain and advanced information.
The department of Electronics and Communication was established in the year 1997. A team of dedicated and competent faculty members efficiently run the department. Our main objective is to promote excellence and enhance the growth of academic capabilities and help the students to gain knowledge in diverse areas. The department imparts enough working knowledge to the students, enabling them to undertake challenges when they get into industries
Our Association SPACE (Sivanthi Prolific Association for Communication Engineers) encourages the students to participate in various activities like Group Discussions, Paper Presentation, Quiz and seminars.

The Digital Signal Processing Lab is provided with powerful design solutions for iterative analysis, which includes over 70 signal-processing functions. MATLAB package in the lab, lets the students to take a new approach to signal and image analysis, statistical analysis, time series analysis, data compression analysis and special numerical methods.
Microwave Lab is well equipped with many microwave workbenches, giving the students a good practical exposure in high frequency communication.
Fiber Optic Communication lab is equipped with fiber optic cable, fiber optic sources (LASER, LED) Detectors, fiber optic communication trainer kits for voice communication and PC to PC communication.
VLSI LAB (Very Large Scale Integration) technology can generate relatively high performance and cost effective circuits. This technology allows the system designers to implement innovative circuits on their own. This lab is provided with XILINX ISE and FPGA kits for physical verification of the coding.
Telecommunication Lab is well equipped with Amplitude Modulation / Demodulation Kits, TDM Pulse Amplitude Modulation / Demodulation Kit, PCM Modulation / Demodulation Transmitter Kit, Analog Communication Trainer Kit and Digital Communication Trainer Kits.
