This course is designed to provide students with the necessary knowledge; skills and competencies to organize, manage and deliver an Orthopedic Rehabilitation programme within a Hospital and Community setting. This unique programme prepares you to work specifically in the area of orthopedic injuries and as well as primary prevention of Metabolic and joint diseases specifically in late stage rehabilitation.

What are the course objectives?

Students will be equipped with knowledge of aspects of orthopedic diseases and surgical techniques, be exposed to the multi-disciplinary nature of effective orthopedic rehabilitation services and have the opportunity for experiential learning from a model team who are involved directly in both hospital and community-based orthopedic rehabilitation settings.

On completion of the course, students will be able to
Demonstrate critical appreciation of the interrelationships between professionals involved in the orthopedic rehabilitation process.
Negotiate and communicate with medical professionals regarding orthopedic patients to ensure a quality orthopedic rehabilitation plan for patients.
Appraise the safety procedures required to run safe and effective orthopedic rehabilitation courses/training in the community.

Requirements: Physiotherapy Graduates / BOT. MBBS Graduates & General Practitioners (Including BHMS,BAMS, BUMS)

There are 14 topics which is 1.Introduction to Orthopedic Rehabilitation, 2.Introduction to Rehabilitation Medicine, 3.General Orthopedic Assessment, 4.Principles in Gait Training and Prescription of Walking Aids, 5.Principles of Orthotics & Prosthetics, 6.Basic Manual Therapy, 7.Congenital Disorders, 8.Deformities of spine, 9.Orthopaedic Reconstructive Surgery, 10.Rehabilitation of Fractures & Amputation, 11.Neuromuscular disorders, 12.Chronic infection of joints and Autoimmune Disorders, 13.Geriatric Problems and management, 14.Restorative rehabilitation with burn injuries.

You can also pay in 2 installment but in installment fee would be increased to 1st is Rs.20000 ($375), 2nd is Rs.20000 ($375).
