Gujarat Common Entrance Test GCET (Part Time) The Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GCET) is an entrance test for admissions to MBA/MCA Programs in Colleges/Institutes in Gujarat. SK Patel Institute Management, Gandhinagar 5. AES PG Institute of Business Management, Ahmedabad GCET Test Structure The test date and test month keeps varying every year. Usually, the test is conducted in the first or the second week of July. The test has objective questions with each question having four answer options. Each question carries one mark. There is negative marking of 25% of the marks allotted to the question for wrong answer. This year the test had 250 questions to be answered in 180 minutes The test includes questions on * Reading and Comprehension, * Language Proficiency, * Numerical Ability, * Data Analysis/Data Sufficiency * Critical Reasoning, * Logical Reasoning * General Awareness Note: There is no General Awareness Section in the MCA Entrance Test. Group Discussion & Personal Interview All students appearing for the exam have to appear for Group Discussion and Personal Interview. The GD / PI tests one's communication skills and ability to perform in a team which are the key skills of a good manager. The selection is based on one's performance in the Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Note: There is no GD and PI for MCA. The written test has 100% weightage.
