Are you Preparing or planning to appear in IIT-JEE MAIN or Advanced ? Ministry of HRD recently announced significant changes to the engineering entrance examination pattern in India. As against the current format where students were taking multiple engineering entrance examinations such as IITJEE (Indian Institutes of Technology Joint Entrance Examination), AIEEE (All India Engineering Entrance Examination) and some of the State Level Engineering Entrance Examinations, the government has now introduced one common entrance exam (JEE-Main & JEE-Advanced) for purpose of admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs, IISERs and Deemed Universities. These changes are applicable from year 2014.

JEE Main 2016 Exam Pattern (Paper 1):

JEE Main 2016 will be covering questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with equal weightage to all subjects.

The JEE Main 2016 Question Paper will consist of three parts with equal weightage to all the three subjects. 30 questions from each subject will be asked making the total number of questions to be 90.

Candidates will have to opt for the correct response for each question out of four responses given.

The exam will be for 3 hours in duration.
-
Each question will be allotted 4 marks. The question paper will be of total 360 marks.

Each correct question will fetch 4 marks.
-
Every wrong answer will result in deduction of one mark due to negative marking of ¼ (one fourth) of the total marks.
-
Zero marks will be deducted for no answer.
