Course programme
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts this examination in June every year. The IES comprise Group A Services/Posts and Group B Services/ Posts in 4 categories - Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering.
EXAM DETAILS Part I
The written examination comprises of two sections: Section I consisting of only objective-type questions and Section II of conventional papers. Both sections will cover the entire syllabus of the relevant Engineering disciplines, i.e., Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.
The standard of papers will approximately be that of an Engineering Degree Examination of an Indian University.
The syllabus is indicated in the Notice of the Examination, normally published in December of the year previous to the year of examination.
Part II
Personality Test, carrying a maximum of 200 marks, for candidates who qualify on the basis of the written examination.

(iv)Assistant Executive Engineer Group 'A (Electronics Engineering Posts) in the Corps of E.M.E., Ministry of Defence.
(vii)Engineer Gr."K in Wireless Planning and Coordination Wing/Monitoring Organisation; M/o Communication and Information Technology (D/o Telecommunication)
(viii) Assistant Naval Store officer Grade I (Electronics &Telecom Engineering Posts) in Indian Navy.
·Our lesson materials cover the syllabus published by the UPSC with theory, worked examples, assignments, question bank and key, with explanatory notes for selected questions of the objective-type and worked out solutions for the problems.
·The previous five years' Question Papers with answers in the respective disciplines will be provided duringthe course.

Part II - Personality Test
Those who qualify in the written examination will be called for personality test which carries 200 marks. Final merit list is prepared on the basis of combined marks of written examination and personality Test.
