At times one is intrigued. How could a 19 month stint make so much of a difference in one's life? And then you realise that it does. Everyhting I did has contributed to what I am. The long 3.4 kilometer walks in the moonlit winter nights, the tough tiring days when there is so much to do and so little time, the hundreds of PPTs, cases and reports, the 48 hour days, the interhostel culturals and sports, the placement days, sweat, toil, the wild parties. The lush green campus, the serenity, the woods just added to all this.
Life at the Noida campus of IIM Lucknow promises an enriching, yet thrilling ride. The vast experience and knowledge of the faculty, shared with the students in both formal and informal settings, combined with the swapping of personal experiences amongst the students themselves, contribute to a rich learning environment. There is a is a rich mix of cultural and regional diversity, and battle-hardened professionals from all across the globe converge at a common point in search of higher learning. Since time is at a premium, the pace of life picks up, as students will go through grinding “48 hour days”, replete with case-studies, planning sessions that precede them, pre-planning sessions that precede the planning sessions (and so on), classroom discussions, extra-classroom discussions and over-a-tea discussions, all amongst the backdrop of relentlessly approaching deadlines. Then there will be the other forms of learning, the ones which textbooks don’t
