They learn to see subtle differences in color & use them to make a dramatic statement in any interior.Sketching a Layout Plan in interior designing :Students are introduced to lines, orthographic, projection, metric projection, perspective drawing and techniques for illustrative graphic presentation of design ideas and products. They learn advanced perspective drawing methods and practice simple and rapid illustration techniques in various media including ink, colored pencils, marker pens, pastels and water color.Drawing a Floor Plan:Even students without any artistic ability learn to convert their sketch into a professional floor plan using our unique, simple, step by step plan.Building Construction & Materials in interior designing :Introduction to basic building components: Students study various aspects of architectural building construction components such as bricks, arches, elevations, and typical joints, types of windows, staircase, doors, partitions, floor finishes, and ceilings.Introduction about Material used in Interior designing :Students are introduced to materials used in interiors like bricks, wood & ply, building stones, glass, paints, & varnishes, insulating materials etc. They conduct market surveys & make detailed reports which emphasize procurement, pricing and manufacturers specifications.Furnishing and Fittings:Window / Door Treatment in interior designing : Windows and Doors are among the most decorative aspects of a room. Students are trained to select and use all types of treatment – curtains, draperies, vertical blinds, cornices. They learn to select fabrics for upholstery and draperies, the advantages and disadvantages of different fibers and where to find the best buys.Wall and Floor Treatment in interior designing: Students learn to select and use wallpaper, wood paneling and achieve a perfect paint job. They learn to select the right flooring, rugs, carpets, marbles, tiles, wood planking etc. Keeping in mind practical considerations.Interior Accessories: Accessories are the finishing touches that enhance the beauty & character of the décor. Students learn how to use pictures, mirrors, shelves sculptures, lamps, indoor plants etc. to enhance the sense of design & imagination.Lighting Arrangements in interior designing : Students learn to plan the position of the lights and lighting fixtures keeping in mind the basic ideas of space, mood, function of work & practical considerations.Furniture design:Planning a Furniture Layout in interior designing : Students learn to draft a workable and beautiful furniture layout with its elevations, views & sections including standard joinery, casework details, molding and furniture hardware.History of Id: Students are introduced to style of furniture and interiors of different historical periods, from antiquity to contemporary, used in interior design today. They examine how people, social conditions and technology influenced interiors in each period.Space Management on interior designing : Students are introduced to fundamental concepts and methods for planning; organizing and arranging spaces in the interior environment .They examine space in terms of human needs, activities and priorities and apply critical thinking and creative problem solving to make the best functional and aesthetic use of space.Professional Studies and Estimation in interior designing : Student learn to prepare and present there completed plans to the clients in the most appealing and professional manner. They learn to calculate the estimation of the project, handle questions, suggestions, objections, and sell their ideas to the clients.
