Buddhist philosophy is over 2,500 years old and incorporates ceremonies and practices that might be new to many people. Reading books and going to lectures can be helpful, but taking a more in-depth look with a qualified guide is the traditional way to learn about Buddhism.
This Intermediate Course on Buddhism is for all people, but some knowledge of Buddhism will be helpful, whether from a college philosophy class or from self-guided study. In addition to going into detail about the better-known concepts - the Four Noble Truths, compassion, re-birth - we will focus more deeper into some of the more complex topics of bodhichitta, interdependence and the nature of mind.
