Interested in working in the IT industry? This course is designed to give you the work-related knowledge, understanding and skills valued by employers or provide a route into Higher Education. This is a vocational course which provides a balance between practical and theory in Computing studies, it enables you to choose a specialist pathway in either Software Development or Network Systems Support to help you in your future career progression. Students will gain practical skills and knowledge needed to prepare you for employment in the IT industry or earn UCAS points which will enable you to apply for University.

Requirements: 5 GCSEs at A*-C (or new grade 9-4) including English or Maths OR Level 2 Diploma in ICT at Merit grade, plus Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Maths.

How you will Learn There is an emphasis on practical lessons where you will develop and demonstrate vocational skills for the IT industry. You will have access to facilities which develop your computer hardware and software, networking, information systems and programming skills.

Any student registered with an Awarding Body who has been given free entry and subsequently withdraws or is withdrawn by a tutor will incur the certification fee associated with the course.
