M.A. Commercial Art

The Guru Nanak Dev University's Faculty of Visual Arts and Performing Arts offers M.A. Commercial Art to its students. The course structure for it is as follows:

Computer Graphics
Preparation of logos, Press Layout, Magazine Layouts, Greeting Cards, Visiting Cards, Letter Heads on industrial, social & educational themes.
Use of Latest versions of softwares : Corel Draw, Adobe Photoshop & Knowledge of Editing & Scanning

Illustration
Basic knowledge of Anatomy & Perspective Drawing like composition, light and shade, Projects of Illustration : Male Female anatomy drawings, Fashion figs. Perspective & Nature

Medium : Poster colors, water colors, charcoal, pencil, pen & ink, pastels or mix media. 25 quick sketches and 10 illustration sheets are to be submitted by the students.

Size for illustrations : 1/2 imperial sheet.

Advertising Campaign with Fashion or Product Photography
Preparation of Advertising campaign with photography using original photographs clicked by the student during training on the topics - Commercial, Industrial, Educational or Social.

Submission of 10 Photographs size 9 x 12 on each topic covered by the student for Sessional
work
