However under the O.2237 graduates from the University of Mumbai in any faculty who have studied German earlier may be recommended by the Department for admission to the M.A. course after they have undergone an Entrance test and have been found suitable.

The University of Mumbai offers M.A. IN GERMAN STUDIES to its students. The course structure for it is as follows:

The course shall comprise of papers in German literature, theory of literature, linguistics & stylistics, European cultural history, cultural studies, didactics, theory and methodology of translation, literary translation, research methodology, concepts of philosophy and schools of thought. Students opting for the comprehensive M.A. in German Studies programme shall also have core courses on German film, theatre and current trends in cultural studies.
