The Department of Library and Information Science was established in 1969 and is only one of its kind in the state of Haryana. The Department started Masters' degree course in 1986. At present the
Department is running the regular courses of Bachelor of Library and Information Science, Master of Library and Information Science and Ph. D. The Department is also providing assistance to the students of Diploma in Library Science, Bachelor of Library and Information Science and Master of Library and Information Science registered with the Directorate of Distance Education.
