M.S. in Microbiology

The course of M.S. in Biotechnology is currently a 5-year integrated M.S. program in Microbiology. In this program the students are exposed to basic training in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Immunology, Molecular Biology and some aspects of Biophysics, Biostatistics, Environmental microbiology. The main focus of the program is on Environmental, Agricultural, Industrial, Medical and Pharmaceutical applications of Microbiology. The course includes papers like Research Methodology, IPR that inculcates interest in students towards research and they will gain hands-on experience during project work
Candidates who have completed Intermediate or 10+2 with BiPC, Medical lab Technician (MLT) or equivalent courses in biology are eligible for admission into this program.
