The pharmaceutics department offers education and training in pharmacy operations leading to pharmaceutical technology at undergraduate level. This department has expertise in development of novel drug delivery systems, standardization of different unit operations involved in dosage form manufacture, new drug discovery and computer aided molecular design.
All faculty members are pursuing for their higher studies leading to doctorate at Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded. Although the research activity is at infancy level, few research papers are in pipe line for publication at national and international journals. The mission of our department is excellence in education propelled by our visionary faculty, supported by motivated staff and imbibed by our creative students.

In pharmaceutical practice students are expected to learn and gain skills in compounding and dispensing of medications along with calculations employed in compounding and dispensing. The course of hospital pharmacy explains the correlation between hospital pharmacist and doctor including other technical staff in hospital.
The course of Entrepreneurship Skills-Iis designed to impart basic techniques of management, which are often employed in running a business enterprise. The course of physico-chemical principles in pharmacy operations gives suitability of drug and non drug (excipients) substances for effective design of different dosage forms. In unit operations students are exposed to the technical operations employed by pharmaceutical manufacturers to produce drug delivery systems on large scale achieving reproducibility, efficacy with every unit of dosage form manufactured.
The course microbiology and fermentation process gives biological classification, identification, controlled growth of disease causing microbes, sterilization aspects at industrial level etc. In Entrepreneurship Skills-II students are expected to learn fundamentals of computer, internet and utilize it during training. The study of dosage form design encompasses formulation aspects with variety of additives available in context with release of a drug from the delivery system. In dosage form manufacture different dosage forms are formulated as state of the art at large scale in manufacturing with the help of pilot plant machineries. The study of immunology and biotechnology gives general principles of immune systems and biotechnology to develop newer, safe and better therapeutic products.
Entrepreneurship Skills-III students are expected to refer to legislative provisions controlling and regulating the trade, commerce, profession and administration of pharmacy. In modern pharmaceutics and cosmeticology novel drug delivery systems are produced and students get acquainted with industrial processes in cosmetic formulations. The concepts of ADME are better explained in biopharmaceutics and pharmacokinetics. Finally in Entrepreneurship Skills-IV strategies to manage time and stress for organizational success is discussed.
