M Phil in Assamese

More than hundred research scholars have earned their M Phil degrees in Assamese, being enrolled as research scholars of this Department. The areas of doctoral research in the Department include diverse aspects of Assamese language, literature and culture, Folklore Studies, Comparative Literature and Performing Arts among others. So far as the interdisciplinary research activities are concerned, the Department has been collaborating with many other Departments of the University such as the Departments of Modern Indian Languages (MIL), Folklore Research, English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Bengali, Philosophy and so on.
