M.Phil in Economics

The programme is designed to extend the disciplinary competence of candidates and provide them with research training . The programme involves a combination of coursework and supervised research. The programme covers broad disciplines of Research Methodology, Advanced Economic Theories, Advanced Agricultural / Banking / Labour /Industrial Economics and Dissertation. This is a One-year programme.
Department at the MDS University Campus offer programmes leading to the award of the degree of M.Phil. in the discipline of Economics. Department shall offer admission to 10 candidates but course in a department shall not be started if number of candidates seeking admission is less than five. Admission shall be offered strictly on the basis of merit.

A candidate having Master's degree in concerned subject of this University or any other University recognized as equivalent thereto with at least 55 percent marks and second division at the degree examination is eligible for admission to M.Phil. programme. Duration of course shall be one academic session.
