Besides core courses on British and American Literature, the Department offers courses in Literature and Philosophy, Literature and Gender, New Literatures, and Contemporary Literary Theory. Currently, Modern British Fiction, Feminist Studies, American Literature and Indian Writing in English are the thrust areas in researches in the Department.
