The course shall be divided into two semesters and there shall be an examination at the end of each semester as given below:

First Semester

Part I
I. Research Methods
II. Library Planning and Management
III. Any one of the following options:
(a) University and College Library System
(b) Research and Technical Library System
(c) Public Library System
(d) Information Processing and Organisation
(e) Information Transfer and Dissemination
(f) Comparative Librarianship
(g) Education for Library and Information Science

Second Semester
Part II Dissertation
