Phase I will consist of the following courses:
Course I Research Methodology Max. marks: 100
· To acquaint students with research techniques current in the field of Russian language and
literature:
students will be trained to collect the relevant material, to classify and evaluate it, to formulate and
verify hypothesis.
· To enable them to write a dissertation through short programmes, given courses in which
sectioning,
foot-noting, referencing and cross referencing and preparing selected extensive bibliography with
the
library procedure in locating primary and secondary sources as well as the technique of reviewing
the
literature in specific areas.
