Russian is one of the most important languages of the Slav family of languages. It is one of the six working languages of the UNO and its organizations. It is perhaps the second biggest languages after English in terms of research and other academic sources that are produced in any language of the world. In India, the Russian language and literature is one of the subjects for the competitive examinations like IAS and IPS etc. Students with graduation in any subject and Advanced Diploma/Intensive Advanced Diploma in Russian are eligible for admission to 2-year M.A. course in Russian at our Department. Prospects For The Students Studying Russian: Russian language has become a language of functional application in all the 15 countries that comprised the former USSR and now part of the CIS.
