M.A. SANSKRIT

This Post Graduate Course is designed to give an opportunity to people who want to study Sanskrit at higher level specialising in various subjects like Grammar, Literature, Philosophy etc. Thus total 9 subjects are offered for specialisation. In the first year, the student

will be studying the Vedic Literature, Upanishadic Selections, Sanskrit Grammar, Philosophy & Sanskrit Literature. The syllabus is carefully prepared keeping in view the competitive course like UGC, NET and the recommendations of the UGC.

In the second year, the student can choose any one of the 9 subjects and make thorough study of it. Due emphasis is laid on the UGC, NET syllabus and modern Sanskrit literature. Thus a student who gets admission into the M.A. Course will definitely get exposed to the beauties and richness of the Sanskrit language and can appreciate the language after studying it successfully.
