M.A. in Sanskrit Linguistics This Centre was established in 1964 as an independent Research oriented department in the University of Pune for training Scholars and promoting higher studies in Sanskrit learning. Initially the Centre was provide with the infrastructure for higher research in Veda and Vyakarana and in 1974 the facilities for the advanced training and research in Nyaya (Indian Logic) and Mimamsa (Science of textual interpretation) were added. Courses are interdisciplinary in nature. They aim at meaningful interaction among traditional disciplines like Vyakarana, Nyaya and Mimamsa and the relevant modern ones such as Linguistics, Logic and Philosophy.
