Course programme

The department offers post-graduate programme in mathematics and is oriented in research towards application of functional analysis & probability theory; differential equation and mathematical physics; topology and Knot theory.

From the Academic year 2006-07 the department, in association with the department of computer science, offers a postgraduate programme Msc. Mathematics(Computer Science).

Salient Features :
1. The duration of the programme will be 2 year with 4 semesters.
2. The Programme consists of 8 Core courses in Mathematics, 8 elective courses in Computer Science. In addition, there will be two lab courses in Computer Science , one each in Semester III and Semester IV
3. Not more that 10 students will be allowed to take the course.
