Candidates shall be admitted for the degree of Master of Science in Nursing if she fulfills the following requirements:
a. She has the B. Sc. degree in Nursing or the B. Sc. (Hons.) degree in Nursing from any University recognized by Indian Nursing Council and the West Bengal University of Health Sciences
b. She has two years of experience as per INC Criteria after attaining the above degree
c. The degree of the candidate must be registered with West Bengal Nursing Council or any other state Nursing Council.
· The Examination shall consist of two parts - Part I and Part II. There shall be written, oral and practical examinations in both the parts.
· All the parts leading to the degree of Master of Science in Nursing will be held once a year followed by a supplementary examination to be held 4 to 6 months after the publication of results at such centers as will be determined by the board of studies from time to time and shall commence on such dates as the board of studies will determine and the University duly notify.
· An enrolled candidate of the University from a recognized college, prosecuting the courses of study of the Master of Science in Nursing, shall have to maintain at least 80% attendance in theory and clinical experience separately during that particular year of study before she is allowed to appear in that particular part of the Examination. 80% of attendance in theory and practical separately in each subject is essential to appear in any examination for the subject concerned.
