The College is affiliated to the Karnataka State Diploma in Nursing Examination Board (KSDNEB) and the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bangalore, and recognized for the following Diploma, Graduate and Postgraduate degree courses, with the approval of the State Nursing Council of Karnataka and the Indian Nursing Council.
It offers M.Sc. in Psychiatric Nursing. A candidate seeking admission to these courses:
a) hould have passed the B.Sc. Nursing degree course of Rajiv Gandhi/Bangalore University or any of the other universities considered as equivalent thereto by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), and have scored not less than 55% marks in the first attempt at the Basic B.Sc./Post Certificate B.Sc. Nursing examination.
In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes of Karnataka State only, the marks obtained should be not less than 50%.
b) Should have at least one year�s experience in any clinical area, either in a hospital or in a community. Preference will be given to those who have at least 6 months of experience in the area of clinical specialty that the candidate wishes to select for Post Graduation.
Note: In case of Post Certificate B.Sc. Nursing graduates, experience after their P.C. B.Sc. Nursing course is NOT compulsory.
c) Should be registered under the State Nursing Council.
d) Should be female, and of good health and good moral character.
