M. Tech. in Geo-informatics

The Department of Environmental Science & Engineering has started a new two year M. Tech. in Geo-informatics. The course will introduce the concepts and uses of Remote Sensing, Geographic Information system (GIS) and GPS through a series of lectures and hands on learning. Participants will have the opportunity to handle and practice on the state of the art Digital Image Processing and GIS software's like ERDAS, GEOMATICA, ILWIS, ARC/VIEW, ARC-IMS, ARCGIS software and Data Base Management via a number of guided exercises to reinforce the concepts delivered in the lectures.
This four semester M. Tech. Program The four semesters M. Tech program have been started collaboratively by Haryana Space Application Centre (HARSAC), Department of Science & Technology, Haryana and G J University of Science & Technology. The classes and practicals for the course shall be held at HARSAC, Hisar. The dissertation work of the students shall be carried out under joint supervision of the faculty of Environmental Science & Engineering, GJUS&T and HARSAC.
