M.Tech (Geotechnical Engineering)

Geotechnical engineering uses the principles of mechanics to analyze and predict the behavior of earth materials. Expertise in this area is gained through a degree in civil engineering and is required for the design and construction of most, if not all, civil structures.
The Geotechnical engineering program offers opportunities for study and research in diverse areas including foundation engineering, earth dams, landslide stabilization, environmental geotechnics, in sity testing, Geotechnical composites, soil-structure interaction, earthquake engineering, surface characterization, ground improvement, computational geomechanics, geosynthetics, geological engineering and engineering rock mechanics.
