Course programme

M.Tech.(Power System Engineering in Dept. of Electrical & Electronics Engg.) Full Time

The College is presently running six programmes at Under-graduate level and Two Post Graduation Programmes such as Manufacturing Science & Engineering in the department of Mechanical Engineering and Power System Engineering in the department of Electrical & Electronics Engg., along with M.Sc., Engg., (by Research) and Doctoral programmes in both departments.

The course M.Tech.(Power System Engineering in Dept. of Electrical & Electronics Engg.) Full Time shall extend over a period of four semesters of total duration of 24 months.

Each semester shall have the following schedule:

First Semester :

-18 weeks ­ Class Work according to the scheme.

-5 weeks ­ Examination and Vacation

Second Semester :

-18 weeks ­ Class Work according to the scheme.

-3 weeks ­ Examination and Vacation

-8 weeks ­ Industrial Training

Third Semester: 20 weeks - Vacation: 4 weeks

Fourth Semester: 20 weeks

Submission of Thesis & Viva: 8 weeks

Third and Fourth semester shall be devoted to Project work.

A Full Time candidate shall be allowed a maximum duration of eight semesters from the first semester of admission to become eligible for the award of Master's Degree, failing which he/she may register once again as a fresh candidate.
