M.Tech. Textile Technology

The course is taught with the objective of imparting comprehensive knowledge in all the facets of textile manufacturing, which include Yarn manufacturing, Weaving, Knitting, Garment manufacturing, Textile Chemical Processing, Textile testing, Quality assurance, Mill management and Computer applications. Visits to mills and other textile related industries besides undergoing 4-week summer training programme form part of the academic requirement. A Project work with a Thesis in the final year is also mandatory for completion of the Course.

M.Tech. Textile Technology programme has been designed to prepare Textile graduates for a Research/Teaching career and technical management position in the industry. Inter-disciplinary elective courses and a compulsory 6-months project thesis are the speciality of this programme.
