Introduction MA in Communication and Media Studies is designed to (a) strike a balance between theory and skills in imparting instructions in Mass Communication; (b) lay stress on convergence studies in Mass Communication and give proper representation to Print Media, Electronic Media, Advertising, Public Relations/Corporate Communication and Social Marketing; (c) ensure that the laboratory; theory instructions to be 50:50; and (d) work out a two-tier system for the course, in the ratio for internal tests and university examination as 50:50 for each of the 8 papers, with a total weighting of 100 marks per paper.
