Course programme

The programme caters to the needs of academics, higher learning and research. It also prepares the students to join news organisations such as, newspapers, magazines, radio, and television.
The coverage areas of the programme broadly are:

-Print, electronic and online journalism
-Specialised field of news reporting

Specifically, the programme coverage would include concepts of news, the evolution and role of journalism in society. The programme will help students to identify news, separate fact from opinion and teach them to cover political and social issues of particular importance to the society.
