About this course
A candidate is declared eligible for the M.C.A. programme, if he/she has passed the degree examination of a recognized University with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks (Open Category) and 40% marks (Reserved Category in Maharashtra only). In addition they need to have taken Maths as a subject at the 10 + 2 level or at Graduation.

Course programme
The MCA programme of the Pune University is a three year programme, which follows the semester system and comprises of two semesters in a year. The student has to undergo a project (Industrial training) in the 6th Semester of their course for a period of four months (December to March). The training is exclusively for software development in either commercial application or systems. The project is aimed at implementing all analysis, designing & programming tools that has been learnt in the course curriculum.
