Master of Applied Management

It is a well known fact that the Department of Applied Sciences in any Engineering College has the following two important responsibilities to undertake and execute efficiently: (1) Provide strong academic foundation to fresh minds; and (2) to control & manage their distracting tendencies.

The department is proud to have highly qualified, experienced and committed faculty, who are sincere, hardworking, responsible and caring. The faculty members are keenly into all kind of R&D activities, which help them upgrading their knowledge base and qualifications, as well. The department conducts regular seminars to provide the faculty opportunities to enhance their teaching skills & enrich existing expertise.

The faculty regularly attends seminars, workshops, conferences and faculty development programs to keep themselves abreast with latest developments in the subject and teaching methodology,. Faculty members have presented research papers and posters in seminars and conferences and have also made the department proud by publishing research articles in National and International journals.

The content to the students for all courses is delivered by using most interactive ways of teaching-learning processes. Besides applied science courses like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, EVS & Professional Communication, the department teaches foundation courses in core engineering branches like CSE, E&C, ME, EE. to prepare the students to pursue the respective engineering stream with sufficient ease. The most efficient & competent teachers from parent engineering department are engaged to teach these later engineering based courses.

The students are given personal attention and care by monitoring their academic performance, by conducting improvement classes through peer guided self-study methodology, tutorial classes and regular counseling. Question banks in all subjects have been developed to be used by the students, comprising of questions of different types and difficulty levels. Home assignments, quizes& viva-voce are regularly assigned and conducted as a part of teaching-learning process and to prepare students to face the internal & external examinations.

Last, but not the least, the Department is deeply engaged into many development activities that are essential for the overall development of its students. These activities involve sports & cultural events, club events, etc.
