Master of Arts(Tourism Management)

IGNOU took the initiative of launching programmes in Hospitality and Hotel Administration, based on collaboration with the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT), under Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. This collaborative model is the first of its kind between the open learning and conventional system of education.
IGNOU was the first Open University in the world to launch Tourism Studies programmes which were based on a modular approach. These programmes were conceptualized, developed and launched by the Faculty of History in the School of Social Sciences.

To equip with professional qualifications at the managerial level in tourism and travel industry. For further education one can go for Ph.D. in Tourism related areas and jobs in education sector.
