Master of Philosophy (M. Phil.) in Physics
The Master of Philosophy Programme in Physics will be conducted based on a Credit System similar to the other programmes conducted by the University. The whole programme is one and a half years spanning into three semesters. The programme consists of 4 theory papers- two papers in I semester and two papers in II semester and dissertation work in III semester.
The M. Phil. Programme in Physics is a research degree, and the programme is designed to prepare students for teaching, further higher studies or advanced work in industry. In fulfilling the degree requirements, a student is expected to undertake course work, attend and present seminars and conduct thesis research.
