Master of Philosophy (M. Phil.) in Social Work
-M.Phil. Programme in Social work at Christ University is a three-semester programme spanning over one and a half years.
-The first two semesters involves course works.
-Third semester is dedicated towards writing a dissertation. Conducting a research based on primary data and bringing out a dissertation monograph on that basis is an essential requirement of the Programme. Even though third semester is dedicated towards writing the dissertation, preparation for dissertation begins from the first semester itself.
The M-phil programme aims at building the research foundation for academicians as well as social workers working in different practice settings. This Programme is a research degree and would facilitate professionals to build their career in research and academics as well as inculcate a research spirit among Practitioners. The intensive training as part of the M Phil programme will generate interest in emerging areas such as evidence-based practice. It will also be a stepping-stone for budding researchers who can proceed further and procure a doctoral degree in social work.
