Course programme

The MBA program is tailored meticulously keeping in mind the industry dynamics and the ever changing economic scenario. SRM MBA is a two year, semester based (4 semesters) program with industry internships resulting in a structured project at the end of each year. Students are required to complete a total of 38 courses, inclusive of elective courses, chosen from among the list of elective specializations offered by the school. The syllabus is updated constantly based on industry requirements. The school currently has 728 students pursuing the MBA degree program.


A Specialization in marketing will help you to prepare yourself to meet the diverse set of marketing challenges present in today's competitive business environment - from understanding the evolving needs of the consumer, to managing sales, to overseeing international marketing and distribution operations.

The specialization electives are designed to enhance the student's skills in such marketing-focused areas as market research, consumer behavior, product development, and relationship management, while expanding the core business knowledge and skill areas to build the perspective needed to interact effectively with executive management as a strategic partner. Students will have the opportunity to synthesize and apply what they have learned into a final marketing plan. Past students who choose this specialization are now pursuing management and senior-level positions in marketing, sales, advertising, corporate communications, events, or public relations departments in firms.
