MBA which is two years programme. The two year programme is divided into four semesters with an intervening summer training at the end of the second semester. Each academic year starts in July and ends in the April of the following year. The course curriculum is prescribed by the University.
The courses can be grouped in three categories : Foundation courses in the functional areas, Elective courses in specific functional areas, and Integrated courses.
During the first year, a student studies 16 foundation courses, with a minimum of 50 instruction hours for each full credit course . At the end of the first year, a student undergoes summer training for a minimum of 8 weeks.
During the second year, a student has to learn three integrated courses in each semester and at least five elective courses, from among the 18 courses offered.
A distinguishing feature of the programme is the grand project during the second year. This project is equivalent to one full credit course. It is a research project calling for in-depth study of a specific business problem.
