MBBS

The Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program is a four and a half year program. The candidate has to complete one year compulsory rotatory internship as per the norms of the Medical Council of India. The total number of available seat is 100. The Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences is recognized by MCI as a Under Graduate Medical College. A candidate who has completed at least 17 years of age is eligible to appear in the entrance examination. Every year in the month of January/February applications are invited from eligible candidates for appearing in the pre medical entrance examination conducted by the University on all India basis. The pre medical entrance examination is held in the month of May at various centers in the country.

Results are declared before 15th June. Allotment of seats is done before 15th of July and the course commences in the first week of August.
