A pass in any recognized Bachelors degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline with mathematics at 10, +2 level or a pass in any recognized Bachelors degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline with mathematics as one of the subject.

Course programme
The department offers Master of Computer Applications (MCA) since 1994. The department motivates Staff and Students to promote Industry Institute Interaction and R&D activities.
In addition to regular curriculum the department organizes technical seminars, symposia, workshops, industrial visits, in-plant training to expose the students to the real world environments and to enable them to gain practical knowledge.
The department has excellent modern (Advanced) computing facilities with latest Software and Hardware. After the office hours, the Computer laboratories are kept open for the benefit of students and staff till night 12'O clock.
Major Facilities
Some of the facilities available in the Department are listed below :-
Five advanced computing laboratories with a total of 240 systems with latest configurations.
Major operating systems are SCO-UNIX, Windows-NT, Windows-XP, Windows 2000, IMAC, AIX, IRIX and Solaris.
Latest software available are Oracle 8i, Developer 2000, Power Builder, Flash 5,Visual C++, Visual Basic, Mat Lab, IBM Rational Rose Suit and Java etc.
Department Library with 3500 books and 20 numbers of International and National journals. Internet Facility (2 MBPS leased Line)
The students of this department are highly placed in the industrial segments and in trade / commercial / Corporate organisations while many of them pursue higher education in India and overseas. The department organises a technical symposium called Cyber Crest to enrich the students' learning. The IEEE student branch and Computer Society of India - Student chapter provide opportunities and help promote organisational and leadership qualities in students apart from exposure to the latest technological advancements.
