The college offer number of courses, one of the course is MD in Skin & VD. The course is offer under the Department of Dermatology,Venereology & Leprosy.
Since its establishment in the year 1994 at Sri RL Jalappa Hospital and Research Centre, department is providing specialized care to the rural population of Kolar and surrounding districts. Department is also actively engaged in both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and pursuing research and publication activities.
The department offers the following speciality services,

-Sexually transmitted disease clinic
-Leprosy clinic
-Pigmentary disorder clinic with PUVA therapy facility
-Contact dermatitis clinic
-Minor OT facilities for procedures like biopsies, cautery and other skin surgeries (Vitiligo surgery and Chemical peeling).
The college is recognized by Medical Council of India (both UG and PG courses), Malaysian Medical Council and listed in W.H.O. directory of world Medical Institutions. The Medical Council of India granted recognition for the Undergraduate Course in its very first Inspection in the year 1992, which shows the commitment of The Trust & Faculty, in imparting Quality Medical Education. Post Graduate Degree Courses and Diploma Courses are being offered since 1997 in various Clinical, Pre and Para Clinical courses and the degrees awarded are recognized by Medical Council of India.The location of this unitary campus with College, Hospital, Hostels and other facilities, is 2500 ft. above the sea level and enjoys salubrious and pleasant weather throughout the year. The campus occupies almost 100 acres of land covered with greenery and is pollution free. All the areas of the campus are well connected and well lit.
