MD in SPM

S.N. Medical College, Agra, named after the first lady Governess of Uttar Pradesh, poetess and freedom fighter, Bharat Kokila Smt. Sarojini Naidu, is situated in the heart of Agra, the famous old city of the Taj Mahal. It is one of the first three Medical Schools of the country.

The course of SPM was established in the year 1962 and the first H.O.D. was Dr. H.K. Gandhi. The M.D. course was started in the year 1978 and the total admissions are three per year. The Ph.D. Biomedical was started in 1984. The department has its two peripheral unit i.e. urban health centre in Loha Mandi, Agra and RHTC at Saiyan, also have immunization clinic which runs daily.

* Implementation of national health programmes
* Baseline survey of health status of children, health seeking behaviour and health services under evaluation of IMNCI programme in India, India CLEN, AIIMS, New Delhi

Training Program

* Training of trainers (TOT) to train health workers in Agra division for strengthening routine immunization (coordination, resource persons, monitoring)
* Training in safe injection practices of doctors, interns, nursing staff and paramedical workers under MIC programmes of India CLEN, AIIMS, New Delhi
