Mechanical Engineering

The institute has well experienced and highly qualified faculty in all disciplines. It strives for the enhancement of academic performance of the students. With the changing time, there has been a revolution in the conduct and delivery of engineering education. The management encourages for acquiring higher education by sponsoring them. The faculties undergo summer/ winter schools/ workshops/ training programs etc. to upgrade themselves. The faculties are actively involved in research and development activities, consultancy projects, writing of books and paper presentations/ publications at national and international levels.

The department has very good CAD-CAM center with latest software's like Pro-E. (Wildfire), Ideas-8, Catia V5 R4, Solid Works 2001, Turbo C++. Department conducts training programs on these software's and other certificate programs. The department has a unique facility of steam power plant and computerized IC Engine test rig through which revenue is generated. Good number of STTP, Workshops and National level paper presentation are organized for teachers and students. The department has student association MESA (Mechanical Engineer Students Association) to conduct co curricular activities.

Department of mechanical engineering organized a National level technical event ‘TECHNIQUE' on 14 - 15 March 2008. During this event more than 70 colleges throughout the India participated in various events like Pampers, Robotrix, Bridge kreig, Robo soccer, Wheelspin, Converto etc. Prizes of near Rs. 1 lakh are given to various students.

New mechanical engineering building was inaugurated on 19 th April 2008 with worthy hands of Parampujya Shri. Narayangiri Maharaj in presence of Hon. Shri. Bhausahebji Thorat, President of Sanstha, Hon. Minister Shri. Balasahebji Thorat and Shri. Sudhirji Tambe. The new Mechanical engineering building is equipped with latest teaching aids like LCD & OHP in all classrooms. Total built-up area of building is 60,000 sq. ft. Conference hall is equipped with air-cooling system and energy efficient lighting. Mechanical Engineering Department is having a student chapter of ISHRAE Pune (Indian Society for Heating Refrigeration Air conditioning Engineers). All the mechanical students are active members of ISHRAE.
